FAQs

How do I get published?

All submissions are done through Facebook posts on the page, follow and submit by commenting under the theme posts. You will be contacted if selected. We also regularly update post updates for issues or you can check the submissions tab on the website.

How often do new themes come out?

New themes are released in the mornings several days a week.

How do I get on the cover?

Most of the time a TPM team member selects 2+ photos to curate contests with, these contenders are picked out of those who were selected to be published. The guidelines they go by are:
·Does the photo represent the theme?
·Is the photo technically correct; lighting, composition, etc.

I keep submitting but am not getting selected, why?

Here are a few things that might be keeping you from getting selected:
·Low quality: We know when you upload to FB the quality is lowered by a small amount, but if your photos looks to be very low quality it will not be selected.
·Illegal: There is one thing in particular that we do not at all publish, train tracks. It is illegal and dangerous to photograph on/near train tracks. We discourage this 1000% and will not publish any image that is on or close to train tracks.
·Dated: There are things and trends that have happened over the years that we typically do not select for publication, for example: selective color and sepia.
·Lastly, sometimes we miss comments.

Who can submit photos?

The Photograp[her] Magazine is for women photographers. Occasionally we do a Jr. issue and publish children photographers!
